The largest Akshaya Patra kitchen can cook nearly 100,000 meals every morning. Currently 22 Centralised(automated) kitchens and 2 De-centralised kitchens are established across India. Centralised kitchens are feasible in urban and semi-urban locations, whereas De-centralised kitchens prove to be beneficial for rural areas where connectivity poses a concern. The organisation plans to open kitchens in other locations too so that it can feed more and more children in India.

There is need for investment in kitchen equipment to increase production and reach more children across India. With part subsidies from the Government, the rest of the cost of every meal is generated by contributions from individuals, philanthropists and corporate entities.

Your name or company logo will be placed on a plaque at the kitchen and a visit to the kitchen to see the equipment in action will also be arranged!!
